Here are the Winrail drawings I promised to Craig, Eddie, and others:  I decided to link to the fastasy model railroad plans.  If I draw the GBVRR and show it to people, they will assume its another fantasy model railroad.  Click on a drawing to enlarge it.

This layout plan has been altered in a number of places since this drawing was made.

The fantasy model railroads that are already on-line.  I will try to attach them to an email, but the client will probably refuse to send it and I'll have to revert to Plan B.

And here is the Google Earth track plan I am planning to trace with Winrail.   Why?  For many reasons, which using Winrail would make clear.

And, here is the preliminary sketch of Eddie Carroll's train room that shows connectivity by means of walls (thick red lines) and aisles (rectangles and polygons).  The rest is double decker trains, track, scenery, structures, and backgrounds.

I would be remiss if I did not post the beautiful drawing Craig Brantley made starting with Eddie Carroll's architect's drawing of the layout space (which is nearly the entire second floor of a rather large house - by the standards of ordinary people):
