Here is a layout made of new and existing Free-Mo N modules that I propose to place in a 10' X 14' space in my train room and still leave room for a wide aisle, a workbench, and a computer desk.

I was not able to add two modules (only) and make the area inside the loop easier to walk around in.  Here is a video showing the layout at the end of Friday:  http://modrr.net/aug15.mp4

Proof of Concept for 5-Module Sled (or not)

The five modules were pinned to two 2 by 2s using 1-1/4" dry wall screws in about 20 minutes.  The ends could be better protected and the wires sequestered like they would be in N-Trak; but the next photo shows me lifting one end off the ground with one hand while taking the photo.  I'm sure we can find two young men strong enough to carry it as far as we need to.  Oh, by the way, we would use 5/16"- 18 bolts and inserts in the permanent carrier.  I notice from the photo that they could have been placed on the sled with one edge perpendicular to the ground or nearly so.  This could be secured with a 4" wide piece of 1/2" plywood 48" long.
